ABOUT PURR

PURR was created with the intent of providing a high quality and low stress boarding option for your cat.

Dr. Tara has been a feline only veterinarian at The Cat Dr in Boise since 2001 and currently still works there part time. She is also the Medical Director for Simply Cats, Boise’s no-kill, feline only adoption center. Her entire career has been focused on keeping cats healthy and happy. Her areas of interest are feline nutrition, geriatric cats, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and mental enrichment for cats.

The PURR concept blends the benefits of veterinary oversight with the peace and serenity that an in-home space can offer.

The goal of PURR is to rise above metal cages, closet like condos, loud spaces, noisy people, artificially lit rooms, smelly odors, crowded spaces, and general chaos.

PURR offers a child and dog free space with lots and lots of natural light, south facing windows in each condo, a yard view, lots of wildlife, a large playroom, and tons of choices for mental stimulation.

WHY IS PURR UNIQUE?

Veterinary supervised and owned

Dr. Tara Koble will be directly overseeing your cat’s stay with us. This makes it especially safe if you have a cat who is elderly, diabetic, or you just want the peace of mind that comes with knowing your cat is closely monitored by an experienced veterinarian. We are a boarding facility only, and not a vet clinic. We can care for elderly cats with specialized needs, but we can not care for actively sick cats.

Someone is almost always home!

We are the only boarding option in Boise that offers in home care for your cat. Your cat will recieve one on one attention and be cared for in a very quiet and home like environment.

We don’t have employees

Dr. Tara runs the whole show. PURR does not rely on employees. This means your cat is less affected by potential missed shifts, lack of work ethic, lack of experience, rushed care, or the stress of multiple different people.

We offer individual outside condos

Is your cat used to being outside? Do you want your cat to have the option of some fresh air and sunshine? We are the only facility that offers individual “catio” spaces attached to each condo. They are perfectly secure and you can either opt in or out of this free addition!

Pet Transportation

If your travel schedule is hectic, we are happy to arrange a pick up and/or drop off for you. Just ask!

Each condo has an amazing view

Our space is full of natural light and views of nature, not a parking lot. Each guest will have their own south facing window overlooking our backyard. Even our condo doors are well ventilated so your cat doesn’t feel like he/she is in a closet. We set ourselves apart from the warehouse like boarding facilities or stressful veterinary clinic options available. Come see for yourself! Ask for a tour (by appointment only).

Condos can be adjoined if desired

Our condos have removable panels between them. If you have more than 1 cat in the family and they might want to share space, this is the perfect solution.

Day Care (day stay only)

Have a big presentation due and your cat won’t get off your laptop? Carpets getting cleaned today? Are the in-laws visIting with THAT dog? We can offer peace and solitude until the good feels are restored. Take advantage of our cat boarding services for just the day. Our pick up and drop off times are the most flexible you will find.

30$/day

1 overnight stay (2 days)

This one night stay is the perfect solution for situations like real estate showings or just getting your cat used to being at PURR prior to a longer getaway. This is a discounted rate from our normal daily charge.

60$/cat

Short Term Care (3-6 days)

Are you planning a quick getaway? Expecting guests that have allergies? We have the perfect solution that will keep both of you happy. Board your cat with us and enjoy your time away. Medication administration available (additional fees will apply).

50$/day/cat

Long Term Care (7+ days)

Do you need a long vacation? Is your kitchen finally getting a makeover? We offer discounts on longer term boarding without skimping on your cat’s favorite things.

45$/day/cat
